churches planting churches

Father, we don’t just want to pray for more house churches in Tunisia, we want to pray for house churches with a passion and plan to start more house churches. Lord, multiply such groups of Christians and multiply this vision among them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

freedom from temptation

We pray with hope today, Father, that You would empower Tunisian politicians to resist the temptations to selfish gain and genuinely seek together the wellbeing of their nation. Oh, that Christ would become for many of them a faithful high priest who can relate to and help them in the struggles that they face (Hebrews 4:15-16).

corporate worship

Thank You, Father, that it is not illegal to be a Christian or to worship corporately in Tunisia. May disciples multiply and meet together across the land!

life-on-life

God made us relational beings. He even designed it so that children are only created in the context of intimate relationship (marriage & family). Pray for healthy churches in Tunisia that would naturally and effectively multiply children of God in context of Christ-exalting community.

government

In February, Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali resigned and was then replaced by Ali Laarayedh. Take a moment now to pray for this new head of government in Tunisia, that the Lord would give him wisdom, vision, and deep insight in helping this nation move forward politically, economically, and socially. Pray, too, that God’s Kingdom would come.

abiding

As we think about prayer, discipleship, leadership, and vision in the context of a church multiplication movement in Tunisia, we cry out for Christians in Tunisia to abide in You, Jesus, the True Vine. Apart from You we can do nothing (John 15:5).

death

“It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart” (Ecclesiastes 7:2). As we mourn the death of any/all Tunisians this month, we pray, Father, that many yet living would take it to heart and passionately pursue You as never before. Give them true rest for their souls in Jesus.

authority of God’s Word

More than ministry methods or the insights of experience, true spiritual breakthroughs have only ever happened through a desperate dependence upon God through obedience to His Word and a reliance upon His Spirit’s power. O Lord, let Your Word be embraced and trusted in Tunisia in such a way that reveals to believers and unbelievers alike that You alone are God.

Monday 15 April 2013

ambassadors

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20). Lord, we pray together today that Tunisian Christians would have a strong missional vision of reality, that they are Your ambassadors to their countrymen and the world, carrying in themselves the very message of restoration with You.

revelation

“At that time Jesus declared, ‘I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children’” (Matthew 11:25). Father, we too rejoice that You continue to reveal Yourself to people and that Your revelation does not depend upon education, age, or experience.

one mind

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind” (Philippians 2:1-2). Lord God, we pray today for unity among all Christians in Tunisia.

Wednesday 10 April 2013

stability

“He will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure” (Isaiah 33:6). In the face of a very uncertain political and economic future, Lord, You alone are the stability of these times in Tunisia. Prove to helpless and harassed Tunisians that Jesus is salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.

Tuesday 9 April 2013

Martyrs’ Day

Today is Martyrs’ Day in Tunisia, a day remembering those who have died in the fight for political freedom in Tunisia’s history. Lord, we pray that You would stir up a fearless faith in the hearts of Your Tunisian church that would lead to bold proclamation and prayer for the eternal freedom of Tunisians in Jesus Christ.

Monday 8 April 2013

real love

Jesus, praying for his disciples, said, “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that You have given me because You loved me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24). Father, open the eyes of Tunisians to see Your unique relationship with Jesus, to see Jesus’ glory, and to see Jesus’ desire to spend eternity with those who would follow Him.

family-based conversion patterns

Father, we look beyond spiritual strongholds and human reason to continue to ask You to draw 25 influential religious leaders in Tunisia to Yourself. Let Your Scriptures and Your Spirit pierce their hearts in the next month. May their whole households be baptized in Jesus’ name.

Saturday 6 April 2013

believers

Lord, we acknowledge that just as Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb that each Tunisian Christian has similarly experienced Your reviving voice in their lives. We worship You, Lord, for the miracle of each Christ-follower in Tunisia.

integrity

In the Arab world dishonesty is a complicated cultural norm. Our Tunisian brothers and sisters ask us to pray for honesty and integrity in the church, for the Holy Spirit to transform hearts and for God’s Kingdom culture to permeate the relationships of Christians.

Rahma

Rahma had a bad leg since she was a little girl. One night a man in a robe came to her in her sleep. She reached out, touched his robe, and was healed. When she woke her leg truly was miraculously healed. She recently found a body of Tunisian believers and confessed her faith in Jesus. Pray for her to abide deeply in Him and to lead many others to faith.
