no worries

We praise you and rest in the fact that you, Jesus, possess all authority in heaven and on earth. We don’t have to worry about the state of the world or specifically Tunisia, because we know you are, at this very moment, in full control. Thank you, Lord.

Friday 29 June 2012

free time

As schools let out for the summer, we pray that many young people will be exposed to the gospel through increased free time spent on the internet and watching TV. Lord, use these media tools to great Kingdom ends this summer!

Wednesday 27 June 2012

who will disciple?

“Nejla” met with Christians a couple of years ago and wanted to put her faith in Jesus. However, since then, she has had no one teach her what it means to live as a Christian. Please pray for God to provide someone to disciple her (and others like her) and for her faith to grow, founded on God’s Word.

Tuesday 26 June 2012

local leadership

Throughout the last 15 years several Tunisian believers have stepped up to lead and equip the Lord’s Tunisian flock. Lord God, empower these men and women to invest their lives in other nationals who will do the same. May the next year reveal exponential growth, such that the number of local leaders doubles.

Saturday 23 June 2012

conquerors

“For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace” (Romans 6:14). Hallelujah, praise the Lord—sin no longer has dominion over you, Christian. Grace reigns and sustains in this battle. Thank You, Lord!

Friday 22 June 2012

agreeing groups

Lord, raise up groups of people, in Tunisia and among those reading these words, who would pray together regularly for breakthroughs in this land. Let these groups be a force of life within Your Body and a source of transformation in Tunisia.

Wednesday 20 June 2012

real persecution

Let us plead before God’s throne today on behalf of a group of Christians who are currently under persecution and facing some false accusations. Pray that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit, be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves, and be ready to always give the reason for the hope that they have in Christ-to be a light especially to other believers.

Tuesday 19 June 2012

high cost of following Christ

As national believers experience growing freedom and acceptance in certain spheres of Tunisia, O God, protect their hearts from growing numb to Your glorious grace and to the fact that millions have still never heard or understood Your truth in Jesus. Give them courage to take great risks, leaning upon your promises.

Monday 18 June 2012

You said to ask

“I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, ‘You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession’” (Psalm 2:8). Father, we’re asking, pleading. Give Tunisia to Jesus!

Saturday 16 June 2012

praise Him

Simeon cried out when he saw the infant Jesus,“My eyes have seen Your salvation that You have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to Your people Israel” (Luke 2:30-32). Lord, we rejoice in You today that Your salvation was not hidden but was “prepared in the presence of all peoples.” Hallelujah!

Friday 15 June 2012

pray for leaders

As the Lord encourages us to pray for those in positions of authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2), let us pray for wisdom, integrity, and salvation for Tunisia’s current president Moncef Marzouki.

Tuesday 12 June 2012

rapid reproduction

Lord, let this be a summer where Tunisian believers, more than ever before, are quick to share with others what You are revealing to them from Your Word. Let Your glory stories and practical insights be told throughout the land!

Monday 11 June 2012

ready

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with complete patience and teaching” (2 Timothy 4:2). Lord, raise up men and women, great and small, who faithfully and regularly proclaim Your word in Tunisia. Give Your people a readiness of body, soul, and spirit in season and out of season.

Saturday 9 June 2012

His

“Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3). Blessed assurance, we are Yours. Thank You, Good Shepherd, that You have gathered Tunisians into Your eternal flock.

Friday 8 June 2012

Jesus

“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). Muslims earnestly claim to “believe” in Jesus as a prophet from God, but they adamantly deny his divine identity and his death (for sins). Lord, open up spiritual eyes to know Jesus in truth and to embrace his death as the power of God unto salvation.

Wednesday 6 June 2012

new business

"Adel" is a Tunisian believer trying to start up a new business to support himself and be able to travel and do evangelism and discipleship of new believers. We pray today for the success of his new business and for many open ministry doors with much fruitfulness.

Tuesday 5 June 2012

bold, fearless faith

Let this be the prayer of Your Tunisian bride, O Lord: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

Monday 4 June 2012

real motivation

“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own” (Philippians 3:12). O Lord, in the battle of spiritual transformation, open the eyes of Christians in Tunisia to be strengthened by the fact that You have made them Your own.

Saturday 2 June 2012

for He is good

“Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He instructs sinners in the way” (Psalm 25:8). Praise You, Lord, that You lead sinners to repentance. You are good indeed!

Friday 1 June 2012

pray for leaders

In April, Time Magazine chose Rached Ghannouchi as one of their 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2012. Ghannouchi is the leader of Ennahdha, the dominant, Islamist political party in Tunisia. Let us be quick to pray for this man today, and regularly, as we ask the Father to move in Tunisia. Pray for protection from the evil one and for the revelation of Christ.
