King of kings

Father, I pray that You would reveal to Tunisians that Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Show them that all other idols and gods are false, foolish, and empty. Cause them to see that Jesus is Lord of all and that He must be submitted to and worshipped (1 Timothy 6:14-15; Revelation 19:6).

redeem their rebuke

A while back there was an article in a local paper attacking Christian evangelism. There was a picture of a cross and the caption said that it is illegal to evangelize. Father, we trust that this article has already prompted many Tunisians to really inquire about the truth of Christianity. Help these seekers find You today.

church life

God, help your church in Tunisia to know daily fellowship, to be hospitable, and to be thankful. Nourish among Your children glad, generous, and worshipful hearts (Acts 2:46-47).

that they may know You

“… please show me now Your ways, that I may know You in order to find favor in Your sight” (Exodus 33:13). Despite the LORD speaking with him face-to-face as to a friend (v.11), Moses was zealous to “know” God more deeply, beyond the Law or even conversation. Father, stir this kind of hunger in the hearts of millions of Tunisians that they might “know” You and be assured of Your favor in Jesus (see John 17:3).

Kasserine: interceding for Tunisian states (governorates)

Over 400,000 people live in this region of Tunisia, an area especially hard-hit during the revolution in January and various troubles in its aftermath since then. Pray for these hundreds of thousands to have access to God's Word and hearts to receive it.

better is one day

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere” (Psalm 84:10). Meditate—for even 10 seconds—upon the reality of the Creator of the universe desiring to dwell among people, with you and me, with Tunisians and those to the ends of the earth. Be in awe of the reality of His Presence. [Take 10 seconds now.]

song of prayer

Where there is one believer, may there be two believers. Where there are two believers, may there be four. Where there are four believers, may there be more believers, until the whole nation knows that Jesus is Lord. We want more for Tunisia; Father, we want more of you. We want more for Tunisia; that millions of people could hear about you.

holy huddles

It is quite common in Tunisia to see groups of older men circled up around a card or domino game at a café table or just on the side of the street. They spend considerable time “hanging out” like this talking about anything and everything. Pray that these patriarchs will have visions and dreams of Jesus and will share their experiences with all of their friends even as they seek more of what only Christ can give.

in “tune” with the Spirit

Though Tunisians tend to love music, it does not have a significant place in typical Muslim worship (corporate or private). Let’s agree together today that new Christian worship songs in the local language will have a major impact in softening the hearts of Tunisians to seek and follow Jesus.

whoever hears my word

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life” (John 5:24). Father, I ask that Tunisians would believe and trust Your Son that You sent to be the Savior of sinners.

Kairouan: interceding for Tunisian states (governorates)

Kairouan is referred to as the Islamic Cultural Capital of Tunisia, and the 4th holiest city in Islam. Pray for God to birth house churches even and especially in this spiritually dry region.

sin, hell, the cross

Holy Spirit, I pray that You will cause Tunisians to see how seriously You take sin (Mark 9:43-47). Let this lead them to the Cross where You bore their sins for them.
