Open Doubts

Muslims are generally taught to never doubt or question their religion or religious leaders, and most abide by that. Praise the Lord for those like “Miriam,” however, who acknowledge their doubts and seek answers and truth, embracing the idea that you could be our heavenly Father. We pray that all Tunisians would be free to investigate their religious questions without feeling ashamed.

Obedient Ananias

In Acts 9 we see Ananias, a disciple from Damascus, play a huge role in the Apostle Paul’s conversion. Pray for more leaders like Ananias to rise up in the Tunisian church who, when they hear the Lord’s voice, reply, “Here I am, Lord” (v.10).

Speak, Lord

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11).

"hajr-tee"--My Rock

Father, let these truths ring out within the hearts and from the lips of Tunisians in their own language: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2).

Marriage, Light, and Life

The most important relationships to a married man in Tunisia are those with his parents and his children (not his wife). Pray that the presence of Christian marriages in Tunisia would literally impact the culture and
draw hearts to the perfect Bridegroom Jesus.

Wind of the Spirit

As flowers and fruit trees bloom and bud, strong gusts of wind sweep across the land advancing pollination that will produce abundant yields in months to come. Pray that today the Spirit of God will accompany and carry the seed of His Word so that months from now there will be a mighty harvest of souls.

A Revolutionary Message

Father, we are so grateful for your Word and the revolutionary message of love and peace you give. We pray today for "Fatma" and many like her, who upon hearing Jesus' words (i.e. the Sermon on the Mount), find them "amazing" and want to learn more about Him from Tunisian Christians.

Opposition Impact

Praise the Lord that His Church tends to grow, and not weaken, in the face of opposition. Let’s agree together today that the high cost of following Jesus in Tunisia will mean stronger, larger, multiplying churches in 2011.
