Psalm 65 Praise (Part 1)

“Praise is due to You, O God, in Zion, and to You shall vows be performed. O You who hears prayer, to You shall all flesh come. When iniquities prevail against me, You atone for our transgressions. Blessed is the one You choose and bring near, to dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, the holiness of Your temple!” (Psalm 65:1-4).

"Barnabas" giftings

Father, we pray for Barnabas-like Christians among the Tunisians who will strengthen unity throughout your church in Tunisia. (based on Acts 9:27)

What does God lead you to pray as you consider this picture of Tunisia?

A variety of influences, both "Western" and Arab/Muslim, converge on Tunisian culture. Please pray as God leads as you reflect on this picture.

Acts 2:42 in Tunisia

May God raise up churches of believers all over this nation that are “devoted to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42).

soft hearts, Spirit’s touch

“And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My rules and obey them. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God” (Ezekiel 11:19-20). Father, I plead in the name of Jesus that You will put a new heart in Tunisians and that You will place Your Holy Spirit within them (36:27).

Tozeur: interceding for Tunisian states (governorates)

Tozeur is known for lush oases in the middle of the vast desert. Pray that the few believers in Tozeur would be able to meet together and form healthy, indigenous, Biblically faithful churches. Pray that these house churches would be life-giving oases in the midst of a very thirsty land. Pray that the spiritual thirst of the people of Tozeur would be quenched by the Living Water and His bride. And check out this video to give you a better picture of how to pray for Tozeur.

Merry Christmas!

You came!

“Glory to God in  the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:14) Thank you for coming to earth to dwell among us, for the sake of salvation and glory among all nations!

freed from sins

Jesus said these words to the religious people of his day: “I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins” (John 8:24). Lord Jesus, we ask that Tunisians would not die in their sins but would trust You and receive eternal life.

What does God lead you to pray as you consider this picture of Tunisia?

January 14, 2011 is remembered by Tunisians as the day their freedom began, when their former president fled the country. Please pray as God leads as you reflect on this picture.

living out Christianity

"Hedi" is a Tunisian who had the opportunity to live with some Christians. He enjoyed living with them and found them to be very peaceful people that he could trust. This caused him to seek out a Bible and other Christian books so that he could find out why they acted as they did. Please pray for Hedi and others who know Christians. Pray that they would be drawn to Christ through the life and character of believers.

vision

Father, today we want to specifically agree that You would move Tunisian fellowships in the capital city to make strategic plans to plant other churches outside of the capital. Raise up believers within these churches who will joyfully move their lives to begin new churches in other parts of the country.

lamps on a stand

“No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light” (Luke 8:16). We pray that the believers in Tunisia would be bright lights on stands before their family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances. May Tunisians be drawn to the light they see in Christians and put aside the deeds of darkness.

Tataouine: interceding for Tunisian states (governorates)

Tataouine is the southernmost district in Tunisia. Currently, thousands of Libyan refugees have taken up residence in the homes of Tunisians. Many Tunisians willingly opened their doors to their needy Libyan neighbors. Pray that in the same way, many will hear Him who stands at the door and knocks. Pray that they hear His voice, open the door, and invite Him to come in and be the King of their hearts. (Revelation 3:20)

Perfect Father, we praise you that you are able to take the persecutions and sufferings of your saints in Tunisia and use them for great good and advancing of your Kingdom, beyond our imagination. You are so worthy of glory!
